Steven has been a vital part of the Unitas.ngo team developing "LIGHTS" Prevention Education Curriculum that has been implemented in school districts in NYC, Washington DC and elsewhere.
A 2016, the Department of Justice commissioned the organization "Youth Involvement in the Sex Trade" and found boys consist of 36% of those victimized by the commercial sex trade. (Females are 60% and 5% estimated to be transgendered.) This is almost double as to what was previously thought and is generally stated in educational trainings. Additionally, a 2008 report from John Jay School of Criminal Justice found that trafficked boys are 45% of those being commercially exploited in New York City.
Joining Steven for this thought provoking webinar will be advocate, speaker and educator for anti- trafficking initiatives Cristian Eduardo. He is a survivor of international and domestic, sex & labor trafficking and a survivor consultant with Shobana Powell Consulting and ECPAT-USA. In 2013, a report by ECPAT-USA concluded that "the scope of boys being trafficked is vastly underreported."
